Picture this-the young and vital
splayed and contorted on foreign ground
in the splashed lines,
that weave and curl
across the oceans to Australia
as the news entwines and settles as barbwire
in the hearts of family and friends
eventually to be shown in the ink of Dr Bruce,
bringing him to tears at the Bendigo Writers Festival.
